Scotland's Premier Wild Camp Experience
WHO WE ARE
The Mountain Men, recently awarded "Tour Company of the Year: Scotland" in the 2020 Travel and Hospitality Awards are owned and managed by Ritchie Nash.
Ritchie prides himself in making The Mountain Men the best they can be and on giving you the best experience possible. Three watchwords, "Quality, Fairness and Value" Not just words to The Mountain Men, they are our promise to you and ourselves to be the best, to give you the best, to ensure we don't just give you a tour, we give you an Experience, a very Scottish Experience.
Ritchie is an ex career infantry soldier and instructor, he loves the outdoors and you can be sure you are in safe hands.
A family man Ritchie believes in value and fun.
Davie is our right hand, assisting Ritchie in ensuring we give you the very best experience possible.
As you would expect he too is keen on the outdoors, indeed given the choice neither of them would ever be indoors.
WHAT WE DO
Our award winning all inclusive wild camp experience is the ultimate way to explore Scotland. We supply everything you need from a large walk in tent, cot bed and even a covered toilet. You come with sensible clothing and a sense of adventure.
Choose between The Skye Experience, The Arran Experience or The North Coast 500 Experience or let us tailor an experience to fit your needs.
Note: During the Covid-19 pandemic and it's aftermath we will be using individual and family tents as opposed to group tents.
The BackPacker Experience accesses some of the more remote locations in Scotland. It differs in one major way from our Scottish Experience in that it is lightweight and there will be a degree of carrying your house on your back, nothing too strenuous though.
For this we supply a pre packed rucksack with everything you need incl lightweight tents and sleeping mats to keep the weight down.
Choose between The West Highland Way Experience, The Mystery Experience or our adventurous Lochs & Island Experience.
Hill Navigation Training
Our Hill Navigation and Safety Courses are designed to both teach you the skills you need for a successful day out on our mountains and give you the confidence to get off the beaten track.
Our instructor has over 30 years experience and was a highly qualified training instructor in the Army.
Our courses whilst exceptional are purposely kept low cost, we want you to learn the skills and enjoy our hills safely
